One of the best things we've ever done! James, our new maintenance manager, set up the tv in the corner of the Bellingdon Bar, I hooked up Netflix....and our gorgeous ladies have retired to the tv viewing area, armed with their desserts to watch Bridgerton!! How incredibly heart warming
We have been so busy today! Coffee morning, Valentines Day preparation, OOMPH! Exercise and a massive thank you to Mell, our receptionist, for giving us a Wii console - the residents love it!! Also our Deputy Manager, Tudor, is our very own Beethoven
It didn’t take long for our residents to be up and about again. Today we participated in a virtual art class with George and then we celebrated National Pizza Day that Pat thoroughly enjoyed.. she made pizzas for every resident at Portobello Place!
Today we celebrate Chinese New Year and in true Portobello style we had to hold a celebration.. traditional Chinese tea, Chinese dinner eaten with chopsticks and tasting lots of Chinese goodies all accompanied by Chinese music - a wonderful day!
Wow, what a morning sharing the love at Portobello Place .. the chefs made two beautiful cakes, the residents were given Valentines gifts and Deborah our amazing Bar Bistro Manger made some delicious virgin Strawberry Daiquiri drinks. We then all shared our very special Valentines messages.
Today at Portobello Place, we celebrated the birthday of Judith. She started her day with a champagne breakfast with her friends and enjoyed a day of fun, including karaoke and a delicious homemade cake!
We have been very busy here at Portobello Place. Over the past few days we have watched entertainment from the Taff Duo via Zoom. We have played bingo with Maria Butler, also via Zoom and today we had a wonderful art class followed by fresh air walks in the garden, all topped off with delicious mocktails.

A fabulous dress maker, we are so proud of Sally for making a beautiful jacket and skirt, which was made from a range of different ties! John, Sally’s husband, was a perfect helper getting the Wool organised for her next knitting project!
